Our Story

In sickness and in health... 'til death do us part.

Camille and Dante first met in somewhat of an unlikely circumstance in a place called IOP (intensive outpatient [therapy] program). Camille eventually lost the love she had for herself and for life. Dante, on the other hand, had his own mental battles that he sought to forget through substance abuse and addiction. They realized that if they didn’t seek help, they were going to destroy their lives. Thus, IOP had gained two new patients, and fate had done its part in bringing together the future Mr. and Mrs. Baez!

Soon after the love birds had officially begun dating on March 23, 2020, COVID-19 brought everyone's life to a standstill, except Camille and Dante's. They were each other’s “COVID buddy” and spent almost everyday together. Camille eventually discovered that Dante had never actually gone to prom. With this in mind, Camille secretly planned a surprise prom at Dante’s home while he was out of the house for the day. Camille coordinated with his family to create a beautiful and romantic prom experience in his basement that Dante would never forget.

When it seemed as if Camille and Dante had it all figured out, their plans for the future came crashing down after Camille was diagnosed with the unthinkable, cancer, in May of 2023. Dante stepped away as much as he could from his job to be a 24/7 caregiver for Camille. Through chemotherapy, immunotherapy and a stem cell transplant, Camille put up the fight of her life for Dante. Despite everything, they never stopped having hope for the future. Camille was eventually pronounced in remission on May 30, 2024.

If you’re reading this, it means that you are someone that is truly cherished by Camille and Dante. Not only did they want to share their story with you, but they felt that this beautiful occasion wouldn’t be the same without you being there! Let their love and resilience remind you to cherish what you have right now.

Thank you for reading all the way 'til the end :)
